On October 15, Doosan Robotics held a town hall meeting at its Innovation Center in Bundang, attended by Doosan Robotics President Inwon Park, CEO Youngmin Kwon, newly appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Woongjun Jang, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Hyunsoo Kim, and employees.

The town hall introduced the company's new leadership team and marked a new beginning in accelerating its business transformation toward AI-powered robotic solutions and industrial humanoids. Led by CEO Youngmin Kwon, Doosan Robotics has appointed experts responsible for technology development, business strategy, and execution to strengthen its Physical AI technological competitiveness and global business capabilities.

Woongjun Jang, CTO, Doosan Robotics

Woongjun Jang, CTO, is an expert who has led technology development and strategy in AI and autonomous driving. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University and his master's and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and oversaw autonomous driving technology development as Head of the Autonomous Driving Center at Hyundai Motor Company. He served as CSO of Motional, the autonomous driving joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv, where he developed global technology strategies. After serving as CSO and Head of the Physical Security Business Division at SK Shieldus, he has overseen Doosan's AI and digital strategy since March 2026.

Jang will further strengthen Doosan Robotics' existing collaboration with NVIDIA and lead the development of "Agentic Robot OS," designed to enable AI to autonomously perceive its operating environment, optimize motion paths, and support safe and precise task execution. The company plans to accelerate the development of intelligent robotic solutions incorporating this technology and introduce new products to the market in 2027. Jang will also extend his expertise in perception, decision-making, and control technologies gained in autonomous driving to advance robotic intelligence and industrial humanoid development.

Hyunsoo Kim, CSO, Doosan Robotics

Hyunsoo Kim, CSO, is a global business expert with nearly 20 years of experience leading international business expansion and corporate strategy across Doosan Group and other organizations. At Doosan Infracore, he was responsible for business operations and strategy in Asia before serving as Head of Doosan Bobcat India, where he oversaw local operations. Since joining Doosan Robotics as Head of Sales in 2025, Kim has secured major domestic and international orders and led improvements in the company's sales operations by identifying global key accounts and securing large-scale orders.

As CSO, Kim will oversee both corporate strategy and sales, further strengthening business stability through a solid order pipeline. He will directly incorporate insights from the company's established global sales network and customer needs into its business strategy, focus resources on high-margin businesses, expand overseas markets, and deliver tangible results.

With its new leadership structure, Doosan Robotics aims to strengthen coordination across the entire process, from Physical AI technology development and new product commercialization to global market expansion. By enhancing execution, the company will work to improve profitability and establish a foundation for mid- to long-term growth.

During the town hall, CEO Youngmin Kwon stated, "Although Mottrol and Doosan Robotics operate in different industries, they share much in common in that both must develop products that meet customer needs and secure market competitiveness based on advanced technology and product quality."

"At Mottrol, I led improvements in product quality and technological innovation through close communication and mutual trust across the organization. Building on that experience, I will bring together the capabilities of our employees at Doosan Robotics and strengthen execution across both technology and business operations," Kwon added.

"By bringing together the expertise of our new leadership team, we will accelerate the development of intelligent robotic solutions and industrial humanoids, expand our global business with a focus on the United States and Europe, and deliver tangible results," he emphasized.
