Doosan Robotics participated in the major exhibitions at the newly opened Seoul Robot & AI Science Museum (Seoul RAIM) on the 20th.
Seoul RAIM, located in Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul, is Korea's first science museum specializing in robots and artificial intelligence. It's an exhibition space where visitors can experience the latest scientific technologies, such as robots, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and holograms. Following a trial operation from July 25th to August 11th, the museum was officially opened on the 20th.

Doosan Robotics participated in four sessions of the major exhibitions at the officially opened Seoul RAIM. When visitors enter the lobby and public space on the first floor, the collaborative robot AI-Ball on the ceiling blinks its eyes and performs various movements, welcoming visitors. AI-Ball is equipped with a vision recognition camera, which allows it to recognize visitors.
The permanent exhibition hall on the third floor features AI Persona and Robot Singing Bowl (a brass bowl that resonates with beautiful sounds), which use Doosan Robotics' collaborative robots. The AI persona, an artificial intelligence artist, recognizes the facial expressions of visitors standing in front of the kiosk, guesses their emotions, and then the collaborative robot draws portraits that best suit them. Robot Singing Bowl allows visitors to enter their worries into a kiosk. The AI answers them with a voice, after which the collaborative robot plays the singing bowl so that they can have a moment of meditation.
On the fourth floor, visitors encounter the Robotic Mirror Wall, where they can immerse themselves in the free movement of collaborative robots and their own appearance reflected in the mirror. As they see themselves reflected in every direction, they feel both the expectation that the development of robots and AI technology will contribute to a more convenient and safer life, while also feeling the discomfort of AI being able to monitor or control people.

Doosan Robotics also unveiled an ice cream solution that uses collaborative robots at the opening ceremony held on the 20th, as well as Mini Mixmaster Moodie, which recognizes faces at a kiosk to hand out ionic drinks to children and coffee to adults, as well as understands emotions from facial expressions to provide the most matching snacks. The solution attracted a great deal of attention as visitors, including Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, experienced it for themselves.
Junghoon Ryu, CEO of Doosan Robotics, said, "Although robots and artificial intelligence are the most popular trends these days, general public don't often get to experience them in their surroundings," and added, "We hope the newly opened Seoul Robot & AI Science Museum will give the general public an opportunity to understand and contemplate the future that will be brought about by the advancement in robots and AI."
