Doosan Robotics and 977 Robotics introduces the group catering frying solution in Daegu, following Chuncheon

On the 15th, Doosan Robotics announced that it participated in the Daegu School Group Catering Frying Robot Demonstration held at Daegu Palgong Elementary School and Middle School in Daegu and introduced its group catering frying solution.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education pushed for the introduction of a group catering frying solution to improve the working environment and reduce the workload of school cooks, and 977 Robotics donated the solution. 977 Robotics, a collaborative robot partner of Doosan Robotics' food and beverage (F&B) division of , is responsible for optimizing the collaborative robot frying solution, jointly developed by Doosan Robotics and JD, for school group catering settings.

With a group catering frying solution, it is possible to complete about 500 servings of fried food in less than two hours by using six frying baskets simultaneously. The collaborative robot is installed at top of the frying solution module, making it easy to change the oil and clean the floor. It is highly space-efficient, making it easy to apply to existing cafeterias. Along with this, it has secured ▲ the industry's highest level of safety certification (PLe, Cat4), ▲ food hygiene safety certification from the US National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and ▲ a high waterproof and dustproof rating (IP66).

In particular, according to the results of the demonstration conducted by the FITI Testing & Research Institute, a nationally accredited testing agency, using the group catering frying solution can reduce the exposure to cooking fumes for cooks by more than 50%. Cooking fumes, which are highly concentrated fine dust generated during cooking, and are emitted in large amounts when using hot oil for frying or stir-frying.

In addition, the group catering frying solution can prevent musculoskeletal and respiratory diseases as well as burns caused by repetitive movements and oil fumes.

An official from Doosan Robotics said, "As the safety of the solution as well as the satisfaction of cooks have been proven by an accredited certification agency, we expect demand from schools hoping to introduce group catering frying solutions will increase in the future," and added, "We will continue to refine the solution so that it can be easily applied to school group catering."

Doosan Robotics, together with 977 Robotics, supplied the group catering frying solution to Chuncheon Hansaem High School in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do.
